Danielle grew up in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. She moved to Nantucket in July 2010. Danielle has worked as a veterinary technician since 2000 and is very happy to be a member of the Offshore Animal Hospital Team. In her free time she enjoys photographing the Nantucket landscape and walking her dog Glory.



Silvia is an Italian New Yorker at heart with a passion for traveling, learning about different cultures, geographic locations, and meeting new people. She spent 15 years as a literary translator, proof reader, and editor for both the English and Italian languages. She originally moved to Nantucket to learn about organic and sustainable agriculture. Her love for animals, especially dogs and farm animals, brought her to Offshore Animal Hospital. Her own pet, Bentley, is her adventure companion and joins her on many trips.



Maddie’s from Buffalo, New York and grew up spending summers on Nantucket with her on-island family members. Maddie earned a bachelor of science in veterinary technology at Medaille College and is a certified veterinary technician.  She loves working with all pets and wildlife, it’s her true passion. When Maddie’s not at work, you can find her on the beach, sunbathing and swimming in the ocean.



Christy, originally from Orlando, Florida, joined our team in May 2015. She received her bachelor of science in biology from the University of Florida in 2011 and received a master of science in biomedical science in 2013 from Barry University. Christy comes to us with over 10 years of experience with special training in emergency medicine. In her free time, you can find Christy exploring the endless beaches of Nantucket with her wolf pack: a boyfriend, two dogs, and a bearded dragon.



Nikki is originally from a small town in Vermont and moved to Nantucket 16 years ago. She graduated Nantucket High School in 2008. Nikki joined the Offshore team summer 2015 where she found her passion for the medical side of the Veterinary field as well as building relationships with the clients and their pets. Currently she is in school online working towards a degree in Veterinary Technology.




Emily is a Nantucket native who grew up in a household filled with pets; she is a lover of all animals and loves spending her free time at the beach with her dogs or reading a book with her cat, Mr. Big. Emily joined the Offshore Boarding Facility in 2013 and her favorite part of her job is enticing the boarding cats to become more sociable and interactive while they stay with us.



Kendal originates from Anchorage, Alaska where she developed a deep love of nature and wildlife. She recently graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor of science in human nutrition and dietetics. In 2015, she moved to the island full-time with her infant daughter, Amelia, to live with her husband, who is a Nantucket local. When not at work, she enjoys listening to audio books, cooking and taking family walks with her poodle Jasper.


Grace, Boarding Manager

Brandi is a daycare attendant and pet bather here at Offshore Animal Hospital. She was born in the state of Michigan, but was raised on Nantucket. Brandi has 25 years experience working with animals and understanding their behaviors. She has worked in day cares, kennels, with farm animals with her bathing specialties. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and reading novels. Brandi loves to swim and always makes time to snuggle with her two kitties, Figgy and Pluto.



Julie, Grooming

Julie worked at the hospital for the 2016 season and rejoined us this May to provide grooming services. She recently returned from Paris, where she was attending the Dandy Dog Grooming School. She considers herself lucky to be trained by a champion dog groomer, Valérie Sole. Julie was born in Paris, France and is half-French, half-American. Since she was a little girl, she has spent her summers on Nantucket. She got her first dog, Junkins, when she was twenty and loves spending time with him on the beach.
